For our customers who own a Hunter Pro-C or ICC controller, Hunter has come out with a new product you’ve got to see! The new solar sync easily attaches to your current Hunter controller and converts it to a smart controller. Now your controller settings will adjust with the weather every day. This takes the guess work out of watering, cuts unnecessary, excessive watering and now just the right amount of water is put down when your landscape needs it. This device will help you fight higher water rates.
How Does It Work?
The Solar Sync Sensor continually gathers onsite rain fall, solar and temperature data used in the calculation of Evapotranspiration or ET. Then with this data determines watering requirements. On warm days the solar sync will seasonally adjust the runs times up. On colder days or wetter days the Solar Sync will seasonally adjust your run times down. It’s as simple as that.
What Do I Have To Do?
With the Solar Sync you do not need to do anything differently, you set your controller as you would for normal summer conditions and the Solar Sync does the rest, it’s that easy.
What Can I Expect?
Hunter expects savings of 25% to 30% on your water usage depending on your former irrigation watering practices. An average yard will consume $700 to $800 worth of water per year. With the Solar Sync you could save $175 to $240.
What Does It Cost?
Because this device attaches to your current Hunter Controller, it is affordable. The Solar Sync, if installed by April 9th, 2011, costs between $195 and $259. Average lawns may see pay back in a year and for large yards it may be less than that.
